The literature review your team keeps meaning to do

arXiv alone publishes thousands of preprints a week. PubMed adds tens of thousands of peer-reviewed papers a year. SSRN, ResearchGate, specialty repositories — the signal is there, but nobody on your team has time to read abstracts all afternoon.

This reads them.

What it does

  • Watches arXiv, PubMed, SSRN, and any specialty repository your team names, filtered to the topics and authors you follow.
  • Reads every new paper’s abstract and writes a two-line digest: what the paper claims, why it might matter to your work.
  • Groups papers by thread — same research group, same dataset, same question — so you see where the field is moving, not just isolated titles.
  • Flags papers by authors on your watchlist regardless of topic.

The reveal

Monday morning: your research lead opens a digest with 14 new papers from last week, grouped by thread, each summarized in two lines. They spend ten minutes on the digest, flag three to read in full, and skip the other eleven guilt-free.

What it doesn’t do

No full-paper summaries (the abstract is the product of a human review — we respect it). No methodology critique. No citation prediction. It surfaces what’s new; your team brings the reading.

Configuration

  • Repositories: arXiv categories, PubMed MeSH terms, SSRN networks, or named portals.
  • Topic keywords: terms in titles/abstracts to watch for.
  • Author watchlist: specific researchers whose work should always appear.
